Brizon Helmsley peeked out from behind the low wall and shuddered as the squat metal alien trundled past. It was silver with small blue spots and it was responsible for so many of his family and friends deaths. He sucked down another painful breath. His lungs felt like fire due to a piece of shrapnel that was once part of his own hovercar.

The Dalek scanned the immediate area. It had detected an alien lifeform but it's etheric beam locators had lost the inferior creature. New instructions were given, a large number of the creatures were being herded into a killing zone and it was needed to help in the extermination.

Helmsley waited until the alien invader had left before breaking cover. He had to warn those others, if he could somehow rally them they may be able to fight back.
He saw them, running en masse pursued by many of the evil squat creatures. "Get away from here, it's a trap." He shouted but his words were not heard over the general panic.
Then the trap was sprung. They emerged from the sides, firing hundreds of blue bolts of death.
"No, no, no." Helmsley cried as he saw every single person cut down by the laser bolts. There was a hand on his shoulder and Helmsley almost jumped out of his skin.
"Ah sorry about that. We have to get away from here." The stranger was a tall, large man with a frizz of blonde curly hair and a fashion sense that defied logic, concept and taste. "I am known as the Doctor."
Next to him was a more sensibly dressed man in a white cotton shirt and black denim jeans. "Hi, I'm Grant. We'll be safe back at the TARDIS."
The Doctor and Grant's space ship disappointed Helmsley until he saw the inside of it. "It's, it's, it's..."
"Bet you three marbles he says incredible, Doctor."
"I'll see that and stake my bet on out of this world."
Helmsley, oblivious to the conversation was gripped by culture shock and only a slender grip on reality prevented an embarrassing scene. "It's out of this world."
Grant handed three marbles over to the Doctor who grinned like the Cheshire cat. Now we have the small problem of our tin plated pepperpot friends to deal with Doctor."
"Yes, well I'm not one to interfere in other worlds as you know ..."
"I hadn't noticed Doctor."
"If I may continue? Thank you. Now where was I?"
"Interfering in the development of other worlds."
"I most certainly do not. I resent that slanderous accusation."
"I meant you never did such a thing."
"Oh I see. Well of course I don't, at least not on a weekly basis. I've sent an interstellar telegram to the Space Security Service and they have dispatched a fleet to deal with our spotty friends. However I'm afraid it's too late for your world Mr..?"
"Helmsley, Brizon Helmsley. I'm sorry Doctor but I'm really not handling this very well at all."
"That's perfectly understandable. We'd better get clear before the SSS arrive. They tend to get a little trigger happy when it comes to the Daleks I'm afraid."
"I can see why."
